Sliding Glass Door Repair Questions
Why is my sliding glass door so hard to open?
In most cases the rollers under the door are worn or seized, or the track is bent or corroded. Salt air speeds this up in coastal South Florida. Replacing the rollers and repairing the track usually makes the door slide easily again.
Can you repair a sliding door instead of replacing it?
Usually, yes. If the frame and glass are in good shape, new rollers, track repair and a lock adjustment cost far less than a new door.
